We the undersigned urge the White House to show decisive leadership to help broker an immediate ceasefire to protect the lives of Palestinians and Israelis.

Longer term, the United States must develop a clear strategy to end the cycle of violence, injustice and retaliation. This means bringing an end to the occupation and supporting the rights of both Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace, security and self-determination.

The United States is not a mere bystander to this conflict -- we have a critical role to play. Your administration must show leadership now.
