As a pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy American, I want to thank you for your speech on the Senate floor on Thursday, March 14. 

You gave voice to the “silent majority” of pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy Americans like myself who are appalled by the atrocities of October 7 and deeply concerned for the fate of hostages, but also painfully anguished by the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the dark, anti-democratic path Netanyahu and his right-wing allies continue to pursue. 

Thank you for speaking out, giving voice to our values, and pushing for courageous action. I strongly agree that the United States must “play a more active role in shaping Israeli policy by using our leverage to change the present course.”
