For 30 years, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) has mounted a legal effort to evict the Sumarin family from the home they've lived in for generations. Right now -- without intervention -- they are likely to succeed.
The Sumarins are one of several Palestinian families in East Jerusalem that have faced eviction and the prospect of Israeli settlers moving into their homes. Should Israel unilaterally annex parts of the West Bank, eviction of the Sumarin family could serve as a perilous precedent for illegal seizure of private Palestinian land in the annexed territory.
To combat this unjust eviction, Rep. Jackie Speier is leading a congressional letter asking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the eviction of the Sumarin family from their home in East Jerusalem.

Dear Representative,
Right now, the Jewish National Fund (JNF) is attempting to evict the Sumarin family from the home where they've lived for generations. The Sumarins are one of several Palestinian families in East Jerusalem that have faced eviction and the prospect of Israeli settlers moving into their homes. If the JNF succeeds, they will establish a dangerous precedent for illegal seizure of private Palestinian land across the West Bank, harming prospects for peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Please sign on to Rep. Jackie Speier's letter calling on Prime Minister Netanyahu to halt the eviction of the Sumarin family from their home in East Jerusalem.
Sincerely,
