As Jewish and pro-Israel, pro-peace Americans, we are appalled by the Netanyahu government’s continued efforts to block, limit and restrict lifesaving aid. It’s a searing violation of our values.

The United States should not tolerate such callousness anywhere in the world – especially from an ally – which is why we support the Accountability for Withholding Aid and Relief Essentials Act, designed to sanction those responsible and increase congressional oversight.

Senator Ron Wyden’s bill is an important show of US leadership, which will have a real impact everywhere around the world where a leader is standing between desperate civilians and lifesaving aid.
