Infants in Gaza are dying of malnutrition. Between March and May of this year, the Israeli government blocked all aid from entering Gaza. Since then, packages that have been distributed have notably excluded baby formula.

With mothers too malnourished to breastfeed, parents are helplessly watching their babies waste away. According to the World Health Organization, 12,000 children under five in Gaza are now acutely malnourished.

Withholding baby formula is a moral outrage. It does not make anyone safer. It is cruel, and it must stop.

We urge every Member of Congress to join Representatives Ayanna Pressley and Brittany Pettersen in calling on Secretary Rubio to immediately surge humanitarian aid – especially infant formula – into Gaza. Babies cannot be left to starve.
