Dear Members of Congress,
We write as pro-peace Americans alarmed by the Netanyahu government’s revocation of visas to American Jews engaged in protective presence work in the West Bank.
Jewish tradition teaches us to stand for justice and to take action wherever we see suffering. American Jews are doing just that by peacefully engaging in protective presence work, escorting Palestinian farmers as they harvest olives and serving as human barriers against settler violence.
Many of the people being denied visas for years at a time have family in Israel and deeply care about the country’s future, and as punishment for their advocacy, are being barred from the country for decades to come.
Congress must pressure the Netanyahu government to stop punishing American citizens who are peacefully putting their Jewish values into action.
Sincerely,
The undersigned
