Join us to hear from Peter Beinart, one of the most knowledgeable and dynamic commentators on Israel and the American Jewish community, for his analysis of recent developments in Israel and the region, the changing conversation on Israel among American Jews, and what this means for the prospects for peace. Peter Beinart is Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at the City University of New York. He is also a contributor to The Atlantic and National Journal, a Senior Columnist at Haaretz, a CNN Political Commentator, and a Senior Fellow at The New America Foundation. After graduating from University College, Oxford with a Rhodes Scholarship, Beinart became The New Republic’s managing editor in 1995, and served as the magazine's editor from 1999 to 2006. Beinart has written for many leading publications such as the NYT, the WSJ, the Financial Times, the Boston Globe and others. His book The Crisis of Zionism was published by Times Books in 2012. |
