Jeremy Ben-Ami is the founder and President of J Street, bringing to the role both deep experience in American politics and government and a passionate commitment to the state of Israel. Ben-Ami’s family connection to Israel goes back 130 years to the first aliyah when his great-grandparents were among the first settlers in Petah Tikva. His grandparents were one of the founding families of Tel Aviv, and his father was an activist and leader in the Irgun, working for Israel’s independence and on the rescue of European Jews before and during World War II.
Rabbi Jonathan E. Blake has served Westchester Reform Temple since 2003 and assumed his current position of senior rabbi in 2012. His love of Torah and passion for Reform Judaism infuses his rabbinate, and his courses in adult education and enrichment draw large crowds of enthusiastic learners of all ages. Rabbi Blake is recognized outside WRT for his contributions to the Reform Movement. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Synagogue 3000 and the President's Council of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
