THIS is what pro-Israel, pro-peace legislation looks like.

True support for Israel's long-term security means working for a better future for both Israelis and Palestinians.

That's the spirit behind a new resolution introduced by Representatives John Yarmuth (KY-3) and David Price (NC-4) which would, in addition to other recommendations, put Congress on record:

Opposing settlement expansion;
Urging the reconvening of the joint Israeli-Palestinian-US commission to combat incitement;
Encouraging the President to articulate a vision for a peace agreement that resolves final status issues; and
Calling on Israel to take steps to improve the quality of life for Palestinians.

House Resolution 686, introduced by Representatives Yarmuth and Price, puts forth a strategic series of steps the US government could take to enhance Israel’s security and create conditions for renewed diplomacy to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
