As pro-Israel Americans, we support President Obama's approach of giving diplomacy and sanctions time to work to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Many top American and Israeli intelligence and security experts believe that a military strike on Iran would fail to end Iran's nuclear program and may even accelerate it, while catastrophically escalating violence in the region. We are therefore urging Congress to avoid actions which undermine diplomacy with Iran, and increase the likelihood of an ineffective and devastating war.
