A growing chorus of senior military officials are warning that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s approach to the war in Gaza presents an excessive and unnecessary risk not only to civilian lives, but to Israel’s own goals of releasing hostages and defeating Hamas. 

We, the undersigned, support calls from Congress to use all our leverage to achieve an immediate and significant shift in military strategy and tactics in the fight against Hamas.

It’s past time to end the massive aerial bombardment of Gaza and immediately shift to a far more targeted, focused counter-terror operation. For the sake of Israel’s long-term security, regional stability, and protection of Israeli and Palestinian lives, we call on you to marshal all US pressure to make that happen.
