All 15 members of Israel’s High Court, a rare assemblage of the whole court, heard arguments on Tuesday concerning the government’s judicial “reform,” a proposal to strip the courts from assessing the “reasonableness” of government actions. (Think of this as analogous to the lowest level of due process scrutiny in U.S. jurisprudence; a coherent, legal explanation will suffice.)
