Secretary of State Blinken to Speak At J Street National Conference

November 30, 2022

WASHINGTON, DC – The pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy organization J Street announced today that Secretary of State Antony Blinken will give a keynote address at the group’s annual gathering in Washington, DC on Sunday, December 4th at 11 am Eastern Time.

The J Street National Conference is one of the largest annual gatherings of Jewish Americans, taking place from December 3-5 at Washington’s Omni Shoreham Hotel. It will feature leading activists, policymakers and political leaders discussing the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, US foreign policy in the Middle East, and the liberal Jewish community’s struggle to confront extremism and promote democratic values – in both the US and Israel. The conference comes amidst a recent escalation in Israeli-Palestinian violence, and as the new Israeli government prepares to take office.

“We are deeply honored and excited that Secretary Blinken will be addressing this year’s J Street conference,” said the group’s president and founder Jeremy Ben-Ami. “At a critical time for Israelis and Palestinians and for the future of liberal democracy in the region and around the world, our movement is looking forward to hearing about these challenges from our nation’s top diplomat.”

The Secretary’s speech and the entirety of the conference programming will be open to registered press. For those unable to attend in person, virtual participation is also available.
