Hot Pstromi: Yale Strom (violin), Elizabeth Schwartz (vocals), Mark Dresser (bass) and Fred Benedetti (guitar), members of the klezmer ensemble HOT PSTROMI, will perform Yiddish songs on themes of social justice in the United States as well as in Israel/Palestine. Yale Strom is one of the world's foremost authorities on klezmer music and culture. He has traveled extensively throughout Eastern Europe and Central Asia and his research has resulted in books, films, theater, photo exhibitions and recordings. He also lived and worked on a Kibbutz in Israel. |
