J Street

Jonathan —

Those who watched The West Wing may remember that my character, Will Bailey, played a minor role in brokering Israeli-Palestinian peace.

The West Wing, alas, is a fictional universe. Here in the real one, our president — unlike Jed Bartlet — is not a Nobel Prize-winning scholar with an unfailing moral compass and an exceptional command of statecraft — or even someone who, you know, reads books.

Nor has our president helped achieve the dream of Israeli-Palestinian peace.

But, like Will Bailey, I am working toward that goal. I’m supporting J Street — and I hope that you will too.

J Street’s mid-year fundraising deadline is just two weeks away and they need to raise $59,368 more to reach their goal. Please, chip in what you can to help.

What I love about J Street is that they understand that being pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian aren’t mutually exclusive — they’re inextricably linked.

Our current administration fails to grasp this crucial concept. President Trump ignores Palestinian attachment to Jerusalem, Ambassador David Friedman denies the existence of the occupation, and not a critical word is said about the settlement expansion that imperils hope for a two-state solution.

As someone who cares deeply about this issue, I’m glad to have J Street out there speaking out and fighting back.

They need our help to do it.

Join me in supporting an organization that’s fighting to bring about a better future for Israelis and Palestinians. Donate to J Street and help them reach their mid-year goal.

Thanks,

Joshua Malina
